Engineers:

 
MDE is always looking for engineers with forensic engineering experience. We are interested in mechanical, electrical, structural, environmental, materials science, and fire protection engineers. If you have experience in these areas we would like to hear from you. We require, as a minimum, that candidates have successfully passed the Engineering Fundamentals exam (E.I.T.) and can sit for the PE portion of their registration. Registration in Washington state is required within 24 months of joining MDE.

Fire Investigators:

MDE is looking for experienced fire investigators. We are interested in individuals with cause and origin (C&O) experience who are certified fire investigators (CFI) or who have sufficient experience to obtain this certification. A degree is not necessary for this position but the ability to work without supervision is a must. Good verbal and written communications skills are essential. The successful candidate must be in good health and have no physical limitations.
